Charles C. Meyers Library Addition & Renovation – University of Dubuque

This project consisted of the renovation of and addition to an existing library.  The resulting 62,000 square foot building incorporates stack space, classrooms, offices, coffe shop, a rare book repository as well as a wide variety of study spaces.  The project was constructed in 3 phases and building remained occupied throughout the construction process.

The mechanical scope of work includes a VAV air handling system with hot water reheat.  In addition, an archival quality environmental control system was included for the rare book room.  The facility is protected by a full automatic sprinkler system including an FM200 system for the rare book room.

The electrical scope of work includes new power for the entire building, a wide variety of lighting including direct and indirect styles and an addressable fire alarm system.
