University of Dubuque, Chlapaty Wellness Center

The project consisted of the construction of a new 65,000 square foot multipurpose recreational facility, football field, bleachers and press box. The building was built integral to the bleachers and included 3 basketball courts, a running track, a weights and fitness area as well as an aerobics area, locker rooms, juice bar, commercial laundry area, and offices.

The mechanical scope of work included a hybrid heat pump and rooftop system.  The heat pumps provide cooling and heating for a majority of the year while the rooftop provides peak heating and cooling.  The plumbing scope of work included fixtures, piping systems and accessories.  In addition, the project included a complete fire sprinkler system.

The electrical scope of work included lighting, power and addressable fire alarm systems.  Telecommunications work included structured cabling plant as well as audio / visual systems.
