Design Engineers Announces New Associate Principals
Design Engineers is pleased to announce the promotion of Polly Forinash, Blake Anderson, and Aaron Springer to Associate Principals. As the newest shareholders of the company, this expansion of ownership reflects Design Engineers’ commitment to expanding leadership and leadership opportunities as the company continues to grow. “This promotion is a testament to the teamwork required to deliver transformative work for our clients,” says Managing Principal Dwight Schumm. “We’re proud to expand the Associate Principal role to these dedicated leaders in our admin, operations, and tech teams, reflecting the value that every role can bring to our company.”
Polly Forinash, Director of Administration, joined Design Engineers in 2020 and has played an integral role in the company’s operations and leadership. Her transition to associate principal recognizes her continued dedication to organizational excellence and her impact on company culture. “Polly plays a crucial role in supporting both our engineers and the business as a whole,” says Dwight Schumm, Managing Principal. “She ensures that everything runs smoothly, often working behind the scenes in ways that may go unnoticed. We’re grateful for her leadership of our admin team and excited to have her as part of our shareholder group!”
Blake Anderson, PE, LEED AP, Senior Mechanical Engineer, started with Design Engineers in 2007 and has made significant contributions to project operations and mentorship initiatives. In addition to his leadership as a group leader, Blake has been instrumental in creating a robust quality assurance process, championing a culture of quality and precision in the company’s design and documentation. “Blake has really stepped up in his role as a group leader, balancing project operations while serving as the glue between different teams,” says Justin Marxen, Principal. “His leadership in refining and prioritizing our QA/QC process has been invaluable. Producing high-quality documentation and design documents is central to what we do and what we’re known for, and Blake’s work in this area reflects our company culture and style of work. His dedication to excellence ensures we continue to uphold the highest standards.”
Aaron Springer, RCDD, Senior Technology Consultant, joined Design Engineers in 2016 and has consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence. His expertise in integrated technology solutions has played a vital role in advancing Design Engineers’ innovative capabilities. “Since joining Design Engineers, Aaron has shown an unwavering commitment to excellence without needing to be asked,” says Jonathan Gettler, Principal. “He brings a thoughtful and proactive approach to his work, making a significant impact on both projects and the team.
