Design Engineers Announces New Promotions

Design Engineers, a leading provider of transformative MEPFT solutions, is thrilled to announce the promotion of Polly Forinash to the role of director of administration and Tim Lentz to senior sustainability engineer at the Cedar Rapids office.

Joining the company in 2020 as a business manager, Polly’s recent promotion reflects her significant contributions to the leadership team. “Polly’s contributions to Design Engineers have played an instrumental role in our success,” says Dwight Schumm, Managing Principal. “The entire team is proud to celebrate her recent promotion.”

Additionally, Senior Mechanical Engineer Tim Lentz is now taking on new responsibilities as DE’s senior sustainability engineer. Alongside his existing role, Tim will be an instrumental resource for the team’s challenging, energy-focused projects. Throughout his 14 years at the company, Tim has developed a passion and expertise in photovoltaic and geothermal projects, winning awards such as the ASHRAE Technology Award. Tim’s sustainability experience includes dozens of LEED projects, several net-zero buildings, and some of the country’s only Living Building Challenge buildings. “We’re excited about this new role in the company,” says Schumm. “Tim’s new responsibilities as senior sustainability engineer further establish DE’s role as sustainability leaders in the industry.”
