Design Engineers is pleased to welcome Brett Southwick as a full-time Mechanical Project Engineer. With 8 years of experience largely in the HVAC consulting industry, Brett Southwick is set to make a significant impact on the company’s engineering capabilities.
A UI graduate originally from the Iowa City area, Brett will bring a local perspective and a deep understanding of the community’s needs. As a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Iowa, he possesses the expertise and credentials to deliver high-quality solutions that adhere to the industry’s standards.

Having spent the last six years working in the HVAC consulting industry in Kansas City, Southwick has honed his skills in designing efficient heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for a diverse range of projects and market sectors. His knowledge and experience make him an invaluable addition to Design Engineers, enabling the company to further excel in its commitment to engineering excellence.
