DE Announces New Associate Principal

Design Engineers is pleased to announce the promotion of Adam Bunnell to Associate Principal. Working remotely out of Des Moines for the Cedar Rapids headquarters, Bunnell will play a key role in enhancing Design Engineers’ services in central Iowa and take on additional leadership responsibilities for the mechanical design team.

In his time with Design Engineers, Bunnell has developed expertise in a wide variety of mechanical systems across a range of facility types. Bunnell’s 16-year career at Design Engineers started in 2006 after graduating from Iowa State University, serving as Mechanical Engineer in both design and construction administration roles. In 2011, he was promoted to Mechanical Project Engineer taking on lead engineer responsibilities and has served in his most recent role as Senior Mechanical Engineer since 2019 mentoring younger staff. Bunnell’s passion for engineering excellence, along with his tenacious commitment to client service, make him a valuable asset to the company’s growing leadership team.
