Gettler Joins Iowa Electrical Examining Board

Our very own Jonathan Gettler was appointed to the Iowa Electrical Examining Board on April 6th, 2020 by Governor Kim Reynolds.

“It is a great honor, and responsibility,” Jonathan commented, “to uphold the high standards of quality and safety that the State of Iowa demands of the entire AEC industry. We’re excited to do our part in continuing a legacy of smart decisions that benefit Iowa’s building users and owners.”

The Electricians’ Examining Board was established to protect the public from hazards arising from the use of electricity for light, heat, power and other purposes through the regulation of electricians.

The primary responsibility of the Board is to ensure the competency of electricians through examination; to issue licenses to those qualified to hold the title of Master electrician, Journeyman electrician, Limited electrician, Apprentice electrician, Journeyman-in-training electrician or Helper electrician; to investigate complaints of noncompliance with or violations of the law and board rules; and to issue permits.
