Cedar Rapids Public Library Makes USGBC List Of Top Ten LEED Public Projects

CRPL has ranked number 7 on the USGBC list of top ten LEED public projects. “In 2008, Cedar Rapids, Iowa was severely damaged by a major flood. As the city sought to rebuild their damaged public structures, a race ensued between the Central Fire Station and the Cedar Rapids Public Library, both heading for LEED Platinum. The fire station may have gotten its certification first, but the library opened first, so it takes number seven on the list.” Although we’re proud of both projects, it’s great to have CRPL recognized in such a great list.
