University of Iowa Dental Science Addition Receives LEED Gold from US Green Building Council

DentalScience AdditionOriginally designed to meet a LEED Silver designation, the building’s accomplishment received Gold designation through the hard work of the design team.

The project included construction of a 33,750 SF addition which provides a new fully accessible entry for the College, clinical space for special care, endodontic and faculty practice. The expansion provides new state-of-the-art classrooms and conference space which supports the College’s vision of student focused team based education. The renovation of the building’s clinic and research spaces enhance the patient experience by increasing the size of operatories, providing greater patient privacy and improving clinical flow and wayfinding.
